At The Inner Harmony, your privacy is our top priority. Everything you share with your therapist or psychiatrist during sessions is kept strictly confidential. We take great care to protect your personal information, whether it's discussed in session, written down, or stored electronically.
However, there are a few situations where we may need to share information to ensure your safety or the safety of others:
In such cases, your therapist or psychiatrist may need to contact a supervisor, emergency contact, family member, or relevant authority (for example, law enforcement or your organization if your sessions are arranged through them). This is always done with the intention of ensuring care and safety.
If a referral to another mental health or medical professional is needed, important clinical information may be sharedโwith your consentโto provide you with coordinated and effective care. We will make every effort to inform you before any information is shared outside The Inner Harmony.
For supervision and service improvement, we may use non-identifiable or combined (aggregated) data to review and enhance the quality of our care.
If you are attending couples or family therapy, some information may be discussed with your partner or family members as needed to support open communication and ethical treatment.
Apart from these exceptions, no information about you will be shared without your explicit permission, either given verbally or in writing (through email or a signed form). For couples or family sessions, consent from all participants will be required before sharing any information.
While we take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy, The Inner Harmony cannot be held responsible for data breaches that occur due to factors beyond our control. If you access our services through a third-party platform, we are not liable for any issues that arise from that platform's systems or actions.
